The anti-global warming crowd won at least a short-term PR victory by voting for a Senate resolution supporting the existence of global warming.
“See,” they seemed to be saying, “we can be reasonable.”
They then opposed another Senate resolution indicating that human actions were a major contributor to global warming.
“Not only are we reasonable, we’re pragmatic,” they seemed to be saying with this second vote. “If we humans didn’t cause the problem, then we aren’t responsible for addressing it.”
